Surely no need to cook a fish already cured in vinegar?

If it was me I would buy another unopened jar, preferably not from the under a £1 stall and eat them a la mode.

I wouldn't risk it with fish. Three days being ill in an Acapulco hotel after eating a dodgy bit of Octopus and two weeks in hospital in Oz with amoebic dysentry after eating a dodgy oyster are life lessons learned.

Now I'm getting hungry!
When I was in Stockholm I bought some Hjortron Sylt (cloudberry jam) to take home. Delicious stuff - just a shame I can't seem to find any over here!

I'm a bit embarassed to say this but - Ikea. They also do herring in various sauces, apart from the sweet pickled one I enjoy the mustard version.

I might be talking myself into a visit to M1 J26 this weekend, (purely to get some winter gear from decathlon you underfstand)
