anyone following their progress?
Wished I'd known before they passed through a village near me this morning . It would have been good to cycle out and shout support and take a picture on my Birthday.
You can follow progress on Times and Googlemaps
They are due to arrive in bristol around 3pm today

If I was him I would make her ride on the front, so I could look at her bum all day

:biggrin: I think he did . the saddle on the tandem is definitely lower on the front.
Don't think I could tandem. What about being on front when you want to fart :sad:

Cracknell is the stoker - I think his performance on the tribars didn't fill Romero with too much hope!

Personally I can't see them doing it - the current record holders are legends who proved themselves at all long distance time trialling.

I think they'll do it just based on the fact that there are probably going to be in the saddle more.

Anybody signed up for the deloitte race across britain? sounds fun but expensive at over a £1,000 for single rider. But good target for me.

why would you want to pay £1000 to ride your bike ? is it a charity event ?

The Google map has them going from Preston and then up the Ribble Valley to the A65 before going all the way back to Kendal.

Do you think this is for real, instead of just flying up the A6?

Won't bother getting out of bed to wave from my window if they're not going to come past!

the £1,000 pays for all of your food for the 8 days and tents and everything and they provide mechanics and support vehicles.

If i really worked at it i could probably eat a £1,000 worth of food riding 110 miles a day
