Hi all

I just bought a Specialized Hotrock 24 XC for my daughter, and have discovered an unforeseen snag. The cables for the Hotrock's derailleurs are routed along the bottom of the down tube, which means that when the bike is placed on one of my Atera Giro bike carriers, the clamp which keeps the bike in place contacts the front derailleur cable and pushes it up against the down tube. My mechanical skills are limited, but the front derailleur is now not shifting properly and from what I can see, it looks like the cable has lost tension due to this issue.

Just wondering if anyone on here has encountered this problem before, and if so, whether there is anything I can do to solve it? For instance, would it be possible to re-route the front derailleur cable?

Many thanks for any help with this!

Regards

Gareth

Just push the cable to one side or use some cloth to protect the paint.
