An update.
The police visited him, he said he did nothing wrong, and is going to persue a civil case for the damage to his car.
The police said its now out of their hands. He can do that if he wishes, and what happened previous to the damage will not count in that case. They also said there is nothing they can charge him with as no traffic laws were broken.
Just sooooo bloody angry now. Perhaps it is a waste of time reporting these things!
I don't think he does, unless the police handed them over. We don't have his details.........cos er he drove off, with aparently the belief he did nowt wrong!
Maybe the police don't want the paperwork
Does that mean the car driver nudging/hitting him will NOT be allowed in evidence as reason for your son's self defence??
It is a common attitude when no-one is injured and it is one persons word against anotherWell the police said not in the civil court. I don't think it'll go anywhere though on reflection.
I'm just disappointed with Cumbria Police and their view that he committed no offences.
