They are a statement of "I know my tyres"
I've seen some of them pro peloton geezers using green ones. Are they wet weather stuff?

They are the clincher version of the tubular tyres designed for racing Paris Roubaix and used by many of the teams.

@Fab Foodie that looks very nice and love the fact that you have retained down tube shifters
I like the idea of down tube shifters, but in practice the modern systems are just so much more convenient.

Ahhhh, I've been waiting to see this and I love it!!!!

The silver Archetype go very well with the theme of the bike and style, perfect job and well done........

I really feel like having a new bike but I can't persuade my wife I need a touring bike
Cheers!
There was supposed to be silver stem and seat post too, but will retrofit when I have some spare cash.
Just done a 45 miler around white horse hill .....

She'll need some TLC, but this is what I bought her for.

Rides very smoothly though and attracts a fair bit of attention too!

I've used DT shifters for 40 years so they are no hassle for me. I ran Ultegra brifters for the last 9 years and got to figure they were heavy, expensive to replace, more difficult to fix/change cables. DT shifters and regular brake levers are cheap, simple, and like everything you soon adjust!

Loving the frame - colour's lovely!
It seems very popular!

It's Chrysler Midnight Blue.
The Blue/Silver theme is to reflect my first real bike that I restored (late 50s 531 Holdsworth) that I had sprayed dark blue with silver guards and trimmings back in the 80s.
With that bike i did my 'courting', Poly, first job, first 100 miler, first tour, first fixed.
This was kind of an homage to the bike that showed me what cycling could be after gas-pipe and chrome.
