Route help - Garmin issues!

Hi,

Someone on here recommended cycle.travel and I've had a play about with it, looks great, designed a route etc but I can't make it appear on my garmin (edge touring). The website says download a GPX or TCX and put in New Files folder on Garmin, which i've done, but they're not appearing on the actual garmin. Have I missed something?

You need to properly disconnect the garmin from the laptop or PC by right clicking on the icon bottom right (like with a USB stick). The garmin should then switch itself off. Reboot and, assuming you've copied and pasted into the right new files folder and the files aren't corrupted, they should appear in the courses folder on the garmin (I assume the touring is the same as the 800)

Hmm, the file doesn't say it's corrupt or give any warnings. I've copied it into New Files, it shows in there when I 'look' in garmin but when I disconnect garmin and look on the actual device its not finding it in the new files bit to move to courses

No it should be automatically in courses on the device if disconnected and rebooted correctly. It will no longer be in the garmin new file folder on the computer

Think it must be an issue with Safari, just tried it with Opera and it worked fine! Thanks

Ah Macs...mysterious things...I use a windows laptop
