want o plan your route, check how far you just travelled , well without buying a gps kit here,s a website you can go on plan your route , record it and get a list of directions from for future rides

ok its another riders site you have to log into, but is free.

I use it as most of my routes have big chunks of off road involved, rac routefinder even set for walking doesn,t do it, this you click on folow road - and that includes mapped tracks, then change to draw line for the totally off road bit
it gives you a cross section of climbs and desents (which is frigning - did I climb up that !)

its very america based but gives uk and europe maps - planned my next route through france on it.

Woww......this just blew mi tiny little mind.

I just mapped a route from my sleepy little Devon Village to Botswana via the Falkland Islands and made my little blue dot ride it!

You can even zoom in to street level.............made my wife dribble and fall over!

Hours of fun and jolly good exercise?

I am so pedestrian - never thought of going globle, - right my round the world bike trip is about to be planned
instruction 1 - turn right on to high street
Instruction 1552 - to turn left in Little London - home

now just to do the bit the in the middle.
