Just wondered if there were any members of the RN in this community??
And, if so, whether you are in the RNRMCA? I've just joined it.

Did a RN rider not win the Mersey Roads 24 hour TT ?

I am ex Pusser, commuted from Saltash to Devonport and Mount Wise for a few years.

The Royal Dockyard railway lines and wooden decked caissons were definite pension traps for a cyclist !

I used to regularly race round Culdrose on the Trice!

Do you still have the trice (and sport the beard?) - I'm sure I've seen you (or someone else with a beard and trice) on the Gosport ferry.

Very likely...

The Trice went about 5 years ago to be repaced by a Catrike and Gekko.

used to work at St Mary's Hospital and used the ferry regularly. Now we are at QA, that has changed

I live just around the corner from RNAS Yeovilton, HMS Heron, I often see the Navy guys out on their bikes, I tried to catch up with a bunch of them once, I gave up after several miles, those boys are quick.
I occasionally spot a Royal Marine on a bike, they are easy to recognise because they have no necks and very iffy haircuts.
