Mrs CP has the wedding on the tv, so I have adjourned to the computer room. Sadly the infernal music is now playing (after the wailing and screaching of hysterical women in the crowd), so I have put Saxon on to totally drown out the dross.

Saw the grand total of 2 pubs and 1 house with bunting up

My ride starts in Venlo, then goes through Duisburg and on to the Ruhr Radweg.

We're doing the Ruhrtal Radweg next week! Car to Winterberg , bike to Duisburg, then I've got two days to bike back to Winterberg, pick up the car and then pick up the family.

Apart from the first three or four kilometres out of Wintersberg, it is all downhill to Duisburg: 250km freewheeling!!

I've just spent the last 6 or 7 hours watching the Royal Wedding and can only say that I enjoyed every minute of the experience. There did seem to be quite a few others in London and other places that also enjoyed the day, which restored some of my faith in the British People after reading so many negative and in some cases nasty comments, that I've read on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lost a bit of my cynicism today, it's miles better than having a President.

I also watched the wedding on TV today and was really delighted to see Catherine looking so radiant. I hope she and Prince William will have a long and happy life together. I also caught a glimpse of my son in Hyde Park!
