Tarmac Sport SL4 without a doubt one of the finest frame sets on the market today. The SL4 uses different layups respective to frame size as the demands of a large rider in terms of stiffness is different to that of a small rider. @jowwy of this forum has Tarmac sport and will be able to give you some information on it.
The Tarmac Sport may not be the highest spec for the money, but the frame set is incredible.

Bikeradar love the Tarmac Sport as well.

You can get better specification for the money, you won't get a better frame set or bike IMHO

Not here offten enough to argue
IMHO the tarmac sl4 is a phenominal frameset that is worth the 1400 price tag alone. Its a bike that just keeps on giving.Ride after ride, climb after climb.

The frame is stiff, fast, yet smooth and comfortable, acceleration is swift, steering is responsive, but not twitchy, it holds straight into corners and goes down hill with great precision. The bike climbs with ease and thats coming from a 17st tank on a bike.

There is a new brand called Orro that looks promising.
They are distributed by I-Ride who also are distributors for De Rosa, Argon 18, Fulcrum wheels & 3T & Prologo whose parts are used for the finishing kit.
I can highly recommend 3T as I use their bars, stems & seatpost exclusively & they are very high quality.

Check them out at www.i-ride.co.uk

www.paulscycles.co.uk have v.good prices on 2013 Giant, Cube & Cannondale models.

The 2013 Specialized Venge Comp looks stunning in black/red with 105 groupset at circa £1800 if the budget can be stretched a lot.

If it were a straight up choice between the Spesh Tarmac & Planet X RT 58 though I would likely go for the Tarmac based on reputation rather than 1st hand experience.

I can't wait to get my TCR!

Bit of a bolt out of the blue but I drooled over the Composite 2 in the local store last weekend, but can't afford it.

But can afford the model 3 from last year at paulscycles --- have since fallen totally in love with the plan!
