Yet another "impulse buy" frame. Cyclo derailleur original, down - tube shift from a jumble. Everything else made up from the bits box. Everything else off E-Bay. Brakes, cables and mudguards (Bluemels white) still to fit.

A great looking machine, love that colour. The Cyclo mechs take a bit of getting used to! The rod front changer or suicide changer needs a certain technique! Great work.

Now got the brakes, rear mech cable and chain on. The Cyclo mech still isn't really behaving, its very jumpy in anything but low gear, but it may be due to the poor quality chain combined with my inexperience with these mechs. Very pleased with the way it looks though! Changed the chainset to an old Williams, which is more appropriate, but has the wrong low speed chain-wheel by a country mile! I've left it on as a temp measure while I look for a 40+ tooth one.

The Cyclo benelux 'dancing chain' rear mechs can be a little temperamental, Ive found that they need a bit of fettling to get them to perform right. Bear in mind these mechs have only one adjustment as they were manufactured to take a specific number of sprockets. Ive found it a bit of a headache remembering the lever all the forward is low and all the way back high!

My Mk 7 benelux on my 1958 Carlton Constellation. The large knurled ring into which the chain enters is the only adjustment on the inner movement of the gear shifting mechanism.
