A 1km (0.62 mile) lane for runners has opened on London's South Bank.
Similar to a cycle lane, it is intended to let people runners exercise without having to swerve around pedestrians, cyclists or pets.
It has been created to promote a series of 10km (6.2 mile) runs organised by the charity Cancer Research UK.
A poll conducted for the charity suggested 64% of outdoor runners were regularly frustrated by obstructions blocking their way as they exercised.
The survey, for which One Poll interviewed 1,000 runners, found cyclists and slow pedestrians were the greatest annoyances.
Cancer Research UK said the lane was a pilot scheme and if it was deemed a success, the charity would lobby councils around the UK to copy it.
My emboldening above and my comment here:-
'Well, no faeces Mr Holmes."
Who paid for the poll and I bet of they asked peds and cyclists the same question, I know what their answers would be?
