We went to Dove cottage today and it was beautiful in the warm sunshine looking forward to next week. If anyone needs a little later start, the next couple of days would be good to let us know.

Rutland has just been declared the second happiest area in the UK! It certainly looked a nice place to live when I was down for the previous forum ride there.

Can't argue with that, even when we come back from holiday it doesn't feel depressing ans we all know how that feels
Is this starting from the train station again TF?

PS Dr Pinks new goal is to beat 3hr 21min to climb 24km  http://www.brytonsport.com/mapTrackView?id=841149
Yes, same as last time. Now that is some record, presumably set on a unicycle.

swmbo as announced that I have to take her out for nosebag tonight. Will try and get up in the morning but if I am not at the station at 9.15 don't wait. :headshake:

Those of you who do make it - have a great ride!

(Pity it clashes with the women's Olympic Road Race. I was going to suggest recording it but the men's race today hopped about between BBC1, BBC3 and the Red Button so which channel should you record?)

Right I am still on, should be up about 9. Steve does your mobile still end 162 ?

It does, look forward to seeing you again. Kiwi Sal has arrived safely, fingers crossed for oldfatfool [if ever there was a misleading name!], haven't heard from Poacher but hope he will be here. Weather could be better but that has never stopped us yet and it can't ever be as bad as the Jodrell Bank ride, boy that was wet.
I'm so sorry but plans have changed for tomorrow and I can't make it now - am gutted :/ Have a lovely ride everyone and enjoy the cake and I look forward to seeing the pictures
What a shame, you are missing out on some new faces, hope you can make it next time, it will seem strange without you being there.

We will record it through Sky channels so hopefully we won't miss anything, Just back from a 10 mile TT which dr_pink duly won, including £25

I'll be there. probably riding in from Wymondham again, and ducking out early! :heat:
As an incentive to the rest of you to finish the course, I've sacrificed the space I'd usually devote to a waterproof to carry some shortbread I made earlier this evening - I'd be grateful if someone will let me dump it in their car or round at TF's place to save me lugging it up all the flat hills en route.

Congrats on the win, dr_pink!
