I'm talking about the new Marmite Truffle favourite.

I read it was introduced in June. Anybody tried it yet? I'd be interested to know their reaction.
Can't be real Truffle as it's too expensive so some taste alike?
Marmite haters need not reply.

I like marmite and I like truffle flavour.
Havnt had marmite in years tbf and never tried proper truffles but do like truffle flavour in chocolate etc.
Would I try some ?...probably not, I'd probably stick to what I know.

I used to like Marmite until they changed the recipe 10-15 years ago. I switched to Tesco's own brand after that.

Hmm... not noticed a marked difference in taste, but it does seem far more viscous than i remember.
I tried a jar of Aldi's own (discontinued) and really liked its spreadability,

I've never tried a proper truffle due to being working class... but everything truffle flavoured I've tried, has been positively rank, and much as I loves yeast extract, I'll be giving this combo a miss :okay:

Being middle-class I actually had some last night!
On a fallow deer main course at a posh local restaurant. Love the stuff.
Off to southern France in the morning, hope i can track some nice truffly dishes down ^_^

They're both very strong umami flavours, not sure i'd buy a whole jar to try it out:dry:
They're not allowed to sell you half a jar.
