My Brooks C13 (the natural rubber top saddle NOT leather) has developed a squeak. Books FAQ for the newer versions of the saddle say
A creaking noise from your saddle likely means that the nose rails are rubbing somewhere on the rubber top. This can be alleviated with a small dab of grease. ...
I know nothing about types of grease so question: What sort of grease?

I have some old car mechanic type Lithium grease but something in my brain is saying "silicons grease" but I really have no idea about this stuff.

And if Silicone Grease is the type best, is WD-40 drying Silicone Lubricant https://wd40.co.uk/silicone-lubricant/ the sort of stuff or should I be using a true "grease" and are there better and worse brands? (I've done online searches and all the brands I've never heard of).

Many thanks.
