Samsung A40 failed s/w update

As above. My Samsung A40 mobile was updating its software overnight, and now it won't turn on.
I've tried charging it, and if I hold down the volume down and power buttons it comes on for about 10 seconds, then the screen goes black.
Any ideas, or is it terminal?

For about 15 seconds, then the screen goes black.

I had a non-Samsung phone do that after an iffy update. I had to reinstall the firmware to get it to work, and after that it was fine.

I am sure that someone somewhere will have had the issue and described how to fix it. Have you had a look on YouTube?

I have one of these so far so good, I'll have to keep my fingers crossed,my last update was on 13 December
