Sandals !!

Is it a NO NO to wear sandles when cycling? I have a pair of 'jesus' sandles that i wore this morning, they have velcro fastening and safer than my trainers with laces, just wondered because as a couple of MAMILs past me i'm sure i heard them laugh
ps not that i care , its hot and i was comfy !!!!

Everything is a no-no to MAMILs unless it's exactly like them. You NEED to wear lycra, you NEED to ride carbon, you NEED cleated shoes.

maybe it was just seeing an OAP dressed in a vest top, padded shorts and sandles, from the back i prob look quite young with blonde hair in a ponytail !!! must have been a bit of a shock for them

I'm always cycling in sandals (and other forms of inappropriate footwar).

At the minute I'm digging my ballerina crocs for cycling - still get a foot tan, but tootsies stay dry in a shower!

A bit cold for sandals here at the moment, but why not Steph?
You should see the winter boots I cycle in, gave @potsy a fit, typical Lycra cladded mamil that he is
