At 17.59 on Christmas Eve the international space station will be visible travelling from west to east over the UK. The transit will take about three minutes and will be one of the brightest that occur.
This of course is quite spectacular, but if you have a child of the right age it looks just like Santa putting in a final training run before the big night. Lets hope for clear skies.
