Santini Autumn Classic (new version of Spring Classic)

Today was the first running of their new Autumn Classic. A few of us did the sold out Spring Classic which is in something like its 6th year.

Good feed stations; really manageable route (or the 100 miler for those that want a proper challenge )

Great clear and simple signage. Motorcycle riders; all the usual (apparently) and really simple nice sign on etc. Two friends came down from London and really loved it.

I can heartily recommend both rides.

Absolutely stuffed now though through lack of riding and training for it! Last hill was a bu66er; and I can safely vouch for the fact that it is next to impossible to remain in control UNDER 3.5mph going up hills! Especially single track roads with the occasional car needing to pass.

Ahh, I wondered what all the red arrows were about.

By coincidence there was a 100km audax heading down from Winchcombe called Ride of the Falling Leaves. Fantastic route down towards Circencester via the lanes, Bibury, Bourton and back home. £5 to enter. Easy to follow route cards, drinks provided at controls and food at the finish.

It was a beautiful day to be riding through the Cotswolds.
