Only 10km ridden today on a perfect cycling day, 70km in a bus, but needs must. Was still a splendid day sightseeing with friends.

Came back and did a *very* mean spag bol, with lots of garlic, onions and lardons. Should be enough for two more meals, so that's the last of the cooking done here.

Will take the lccy bike out for a spin tomorrow, probably afternoon, to avoid tidying up the house too much tomorrow. Monday doesn't look so sparkling, so that'll be the housework & house hibernation time.

You don't put Lardons in a Bolognese.

Blimey you're as bad as the French. I can put lardons in a spag bol if I want to, because I'm British, dammit.

That said, I'd not dare cook anything pretending to be French or Italian to a couple I was with today: he's Italian, and takes his pasta *very* seriously. I'd not be surprised if he stipulates where the tomatoes should come from and what time of day they should be harvested.

And as for the pasta... just start at dawn, and it might be ready for dinner.

I appreciate the honesty and admission but next time don't bother trying it on.
Us refugees must display sophistication (which includes culinary distinction) and I expect better from someone who has displayed wider cultural horizons.

Not me, not food. Don't expect finesse or accuracy from me. Give me food, lots of food, under starry skies above, don't fence me in.

A 'blood moon' tonight. Can you see it? It's cloudy here unfortunately.
Thought it was tomorrow night?
