Wet trip to Oxford to see the boy and take him out for lunch. No particular reason but Mrs Photonic wanted to see him and I suppose so did I. Now chilling in Westgate whilst Mrs does some shopping.
Starbucks. Is it really coffee?

it was -14c, the potomac was freezing over, i'd gone for an early morning stroll and the only place around was a starbucks

there i learned that the only near-palatable coffee they sell is filter

Well, it rained, a lot and we lost a not very exciting game!

Have to admit the 6 nations has lost the plot for me.
Even though I'm from down there, I found listening to England romp to victory over the Welsh on the drive north this evening a completely joyless experience. I even enjoyed Arsenal's routine dispatching of my own team more.
It can't all be Matt Dawson's fault.

Talking of rain, i recall 1976 working on a coalfield exploration crew in Notts, it seemed to rain endlessly, everything was saturated, us, the equipment, for what seemed like an eternity. Lots of rain occasionally is nothing new (but not to be welcomed either)

Start sprinkling turmeric round your hedgerows then.

Beans and curry? No wonder it's so windy in that part of the world.
