Trying to trawl through the web and the huge amount of youtube gumpf to find a do it all touring / gravel bike preferably made of decent steel with good gearing. Have decided to sell my Whyte Gisburn in the spring as the gearing isn't really suitable for serious stuff. I've got a converted cyclocross bike that I can do 1 day gravel bashing on. My work bike would do for road touring but ideally i want one bike to do both.

Good night in the pub last night and decent run this morning, roofer been to bodge the roof, now having a cuppa before walking the hounds. Pub later I assume

Ended my 2025 running year with a hamstring tear at ParkRun this morning.

Will be taking in the view of the sunny Pentlands stationary on my couch for the rest of the day , hopefully comforted by mandatory coffee.

I'm quietly relieved that an old tendon injury stops me running. Or hopping, as it turns into after a short distance.
