Only 5 but then I'm suspicious of everything. My card was cloned a few weeks back and my bank sent me a text. I thought it was a scam so rang the bank's official phone number only to find it was real... I had to go to a local branch with ID to get money out of my account the next day which felt proper old-school.

You would be surprised how many people fall for these scams, I have been called out to peoples homes due to them having a "virus" on their computer, the reasons given for the virus vary from having their paypal account emptied to having money go missing from their online banking account. One lady lost £1000 out of her paypal account another lost £1500 in the twenty minutes it took me to get to her house.
The main reasons for the above happening are falling for the "phishing" scams and actually responding to the scam email with their account details (it does happen) and poor security.
I got 7 out of 7 correct, pretty easy to spot the fakes.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Fraud emails used to be far easier to spot, often containing spelling mistakes and gramatical errors.
Ouch. And in the first paragraph, too.

Oh - I got 7/7

I marked them all as scam as I prefer to think they are unless my recent activity lends me to believe otherwise.

I have even had a catch 22 in the past with a cold call from my own credit card company who wanted me to give more info before they'd give me more of theirs lol. I ended it by takng their name and extension number then calling the number printed on the back of my credit card. You can never be too carefull!

I always treat everything online or text related as a scam, never follow links don't believe phone calls unless it's something I requested. I work on the principle my bank know where I live as do everyone else I legitimately deal with they will write if they need something important.
It did nearly cost me 2 tickets to the British Grand Prix because I wouldn't believe them that I had won them, but they posted them so the principle does work.

I id'd a couple as scams that weren't, 'cos they started out by saying 'You have requested blah de blah', and I never did.

I always assume *anything* like this is more than likely a scam, and would never respond directly, or using the details provided. If, say, I got a text about 'suspicious activity on your card', I'd ring my bank on their regular number and ask them about it. I'd never use a number texted to me, or respond by text.
