Sales bumf for Durano S says its replacement for Stelvio so reasonably sure would be happy with them but lots recommendations for the gp4000s,,,
Dilemma of sticking with what you think you know or trying something which may or may not be better...
I don't know if they're still available but you could get London Editions of the Durano S for about £18 each from Ribble. The only difference between that and the "normal" version is it says "London" on the tyre wall.

Funny isn't it, I love the Conti 4000s but the cutting up was a nightmare plus I had two with under 1k on them cut on the sidewall enough for the tube to bubble through. I suppose it could be that we all ride differnt road types, I think the problem for me is the tarmac shavings on the estate road.

My wife has recently changed to Conti GP4000S from ultra Gatorskins, which we put on because she was getting a lot of punctures on her original (worn) ultra races. The Gatorskins just didn't roll very well, and are quite a bit heavier - the first ride out with the GPs and she noticed a big difference!

I run the standard Schwalbe Ultremos on my Cube and on Saturday we did the New Forest sportive and I punctured, as did a friend we were riding with, but the GPs were fine.

The sportive was target by disgruntled idiots who placed lots of drawing pins on the road.

Apparently so, although I managed to miss the actual protesters even though I am told we cycled past them! Pretty sure my puncture was a small piece of flint, rather than a pin. I have heard that a lot of it washes on to the road in rain and there was plenty of that, which probably explains the fact that there were a LOT of people fixing punctures during the day.
