Schwalbe improve the Marathon Plus...

Just to spread the word to anyone unaware that that Schwalbe do a hybrid version of the excellent 'Marathon Plus' called the 'Marathon Plus Tour' . It's a tad wider than the former at 26x2.0 & better for gravel / unsealed roads. I bought them from UKBikestore for a respectable 20 quid each. (Wiggle & ChainReaction don't sell them)

Schwalbe also do the 'Marathon Plus MTB' (26x2.1), a full off-road tyre with the excellent Pu$%&~re protection Smart Guard liner.

Interesting. I've just replaced the marathon racer (8k miles in) on the back of the bent, and am now running a 'Marathon supreme'.

I only managed 900 miles on marathon racers on the front of my trike! I usually get about 2,500 from normal Marathons but had to change mine on the front yesterday as one had gone bald and it had only done 1,200. A surprising amount of variation - or perhaps my tracking's a tad out again.
