Schwalbe Marathon XRs

As life sometime does things I didn't end up doing 5,000 km with my Schwalbe Marathon Mondials but I did get 3,000 km in. I got two punctures, both in the tyre on the trailer which I didn't expect. One was casused by a grass seed I suspect, the other is unkown.

I rode over 1,000 km of dirt roads and the only time I had issues was in bulldust. Only choice was to walk then. Otherwise they handled my riding conditions just fine.

I am putting the mondial folding tyres to the test on my 25,000 mile round the world cycle. The guys at Schwalbe are really looking after me on this one and they know their stuff, impressed with them for general commuting and training rides to date.

Wear is still to be seen but they say i should see anywhere between 5,000-10,000 miles of loaded touring in mixed conditions (closer to the 10K hopefully)

i was happy with the marathon plus 28's across the transam...no flats the entire trip...and the rear tyre was worn but I reckon would have another 1000 miles in it....
I had them inflated to 100psi and they rolled wonderfully.
I wouldnt like to ride them off road over rough surfaces for to long though at that pressure ...broken spokes etc
