Just wondered what Schwalbes version of Conti GP4000S is?

Buying all my parts through my LBS and they don't stock Conti.

Cheers.

EDIT: My guess is Ultremo but need somebody to clarify.

Ultremo - but there are so many different versions that I couldn't tell you which is which...

No idea about the Contis- rather dodgy experience with Sport Contacts put me off- but on the Schwalbe range, Duranos are a far better bet for longevity, particularly the Plus version (tougher than old boots! Over 4k on my first set before I killed the rear, with the front still going strong ;) ).

I'd source the Conti's if you can, (buy elsewhere if need be).

As good as the Schwalbes are the Conti's will far outlast them IME.
Ultremos are nice tyres but I started getting very regular visitations after 800 or so miles. The ZX variant FWIW - never used any other types.
Ultremo's are made of soggy cheese compared to GP4000s's
I am quite impressed by my 4 Seasons and may slap GP4000s on the best bike, come Spring - or possible PR4's

Thanks to you all for the replies. I'll get some Contis I reckon. Will see if my shop can get some somehow.

I quite like last years Conti Grand Prix 24c tyres, only one puncture after riding off road across a moor in yorkshire, and still looking good a year later.

For what it's worth, I'd nabbed a brochure from Schwalbe, so some comparative specs attached for their road tyres
