I still prefer the taste of France generally but that may be ignorance and tradition.

If this is going to be tonights wine thread then can I ask about Carmenere?

I picked up a bottle or two or three last weekend and it was enjoyed by all of us but without googling I wondered if you lot knew more about it? The label said "lost grape, only grown in Chile" which means nowt to me but sounds odd that it's only grown there.

As I said we enjoyed it which is surely the most important thing.
