Parker is leading by example and Sturridge looks sharp. Richards is a bit of a worry, but covering a lot of ground and the Smalling/Cahill combination is working well. Only disappointments are Ashley Young and Gerrard, who was taken off.

Other thing is that since Parker was sent off on the weekend he has a suspension, so he can't play in the league for a while and doesn't need to be taken off for protection at the slightest knock.
That armband might stay with him for the whole game as opposed to being a hot potato as substitutions happen.
