George Burley's last game as they're 3 down to Wales after 40 minutes?

Oh my God! Really?

I've been watching the rugby and was going to be checking the half time score to see how we were doing

Well you made it to half time with no further damage apart from a chorus of boos!

This was the first Scotland game (home & away) I have missed for a good few years and I have to say I was so glad not to have spent a fortune to watch what sounds to have been a total nightmare. I have not seen any of the game (we were down in Barrow for the AFC Wimbledon game which KO at the same time and I spent last night avoiding Sky Sports) but from what I have heard/read Burley has lost the team.

I have supported him up to now, which has gone against the majority (of people I know anyhow) but yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

However, I do worry who is likely to be intrested in the job if he does resign/get sacked.

Scotland have had 'total mince' managers for as long as I can just about remember; Stein was probably the last good Scotland manager. Ferguson was only a short term appointment; Roxburgh was dull as was Brown; Vogts was pitiful; Smith did a lot but he was not there long enough before being lured back to Ibrox - I reckon he could have got the team somewhere; McLeish knew his reputation was on the wane and stepped in to take over a team Smith had built up and got a few performances, then bugger off for the money before he was found out. Burley is again in the dull league of Roxburgh and Brown, a friend of the 'blazers'.

The SFA are meeting on Tuesday, according to reports on R5 sport today. I don't see Burley surviving.

Time we looked abroad and copied the Ireland example?

Last time we tried that we got Blundering Bertie

We need someone who has some fire about them, like Smith/McCoist had, and not some dull twonk. Not sure who that could be.... Or who there is.

I think Burley is on 300k per year!!!:ohmy::ohmy:

Moyes would be amazing but could the SFA afford him?

BTW, just because we had Bertie Vogts, it doesn't mean that all foreign managers are going to be as useless as him. At least we know who NOT to look for this time.
