I bought a junior racer last year, to use as a donor bike as it had some nice bits on it. I've finally got round to stripping the last bits off tonight and noticed some writing on the dropouts. Does anyone here know what it might say? There are no frame numbers, and the only place left to check is the fork steerer, but headset seized at the moment. It has some nice lugs too. I'm just curious, not seen it before.

Thanks, I thought that at first. But on the other side it looks like the lettering starts with an M or maybe an R, and where the lettering starts would mean its too long a word to be olmo.

It had a mix of modern and older. parts on it. It had a lovely triple TA cyclotouriste crankset, 3TTT stem, a nice tange headset. The wheelset had been upgraded to junior racing tubs at some point in the 90's, but the hubs look older, a mavic rear and a suntour front. I bought it for the crankset (just 155 long) for my 20" and the groupset (such as it was) to go on my knockabout bike.

The gearing was mid 90's campag mirage 8 speed shifters, 9 speed mechs running a 7 speed sachs cassette.

Quite a collection.

Yep, putting newer stuff on an older frame never goes out of fashion . Any pics of the whole frame? I wonder if the 3TTT stem was a triangular record
