Put a tie on Cameron, you scruffy git. Look like you mean business and people might start taking you seriously enough to do business with you.

Tidier than his negotiating strategy, mind.

I have to say, I was impressed by the Finnish PM. And don't prime ministers look young these days...

Anyway, the relaxed, open-necked summit style is very popular. Gone are such days as these...

Ties are on their way out and good riddance to them.

Oh please make this be true. I only own two ties. My old university tie and my funerals tie. Who said that knotting a piece of cloth around your neck is smart? I must have missed that meeting. I have a sort of phobia about things around my neck so I hate the stupid and pointless things with a passion that verges on a religion.

Apart from that I'm pretty ambivalent about ties!

Blair was the pioneer in ditching the jacket and tie and rolling up the sleeves. Remember when he announced the birth of his last sprog outside number10 wearing his slippers with a brew(mug of tea)in his hand?

I used to have to wear a tie to work. Thankfully they have been deemed undesirable by our infection control team :hello:

Only time I wear a tie now is when it's in the form of a bow and I'm in my kilt.
