SD Micro card adaptors

Hi all.

If you use an SD card adaptor to allow the use of a micro SD card to be used where a regular sized card is required, is there any trade off in terms of speed or efficiency?

No I have never noticed any - a plus of the adaptors is that if you keep spare micro SD cards in them you are less likely to lose them

Like psmiffy says I've never noticed any trade off.

All the microSD to miniSDSD adapters do is re-wire the external electrical connections to ones that are larger and in slightly different places. Nothing clever and therefore no performance hit at all.
