I once saw a strange animal sitting on a garden fence in a suburban area. It was white, maybe some sort of weasel or stoat. As I moved towards it, it greeted me with a miaow. Yup, it was a cat. This was in Australia, so it presumably got skin cancer in its pink/white ears, and they'd been amputated. It's amazing how little a cat looks like a cat without ears.
