When I was at Ye Old Pound Cafe on Tuesday one of my mates told me that the crowd that normally uses the garden centre at ullesthorpe on a Saturday were now using The Ashby Parva Plant Centre.

Now I've been past numerous time but never used the place so I though it will a good destination for my second recovery ride, I also decided it was time I got the best bike out. I was disappointed this morning when I got up and seen the fog but by the time I left it had cleared, it was just cloudy and cold for the ride out, the sun and warmth returned for the homeward journey. Definetly a better ride today, still slow but at times I could see flashes of my old form, still climbing like a little girl but it felt easier, I'm also not so knackered today, but it was only 40 miles. Overall I can see the fitness coming back.

The next ride is planned for Sunday, theres no club ride, theres a competitive event on called the Hagger Bash, so it will be another lone ride, I'm thinking the garden centre at Thurlaston using the route I did at Xmas. http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=337466
Monday I'm back at work and back commuting.

Yes well on the mend now, I'm back at work Monday, I phoned the Gaffa on Thursday to give her the news and she sounded delighted. I'm also back to commuting after a month off, I recon the daily 13 mile round trip plus the days work in the middle will bring back my fitness better than the longer rides will do.
