I pretty much know that the answer is that with security comes weight, but sod it, I'll ask anyway ;)

Is there a bike lock that can be classed as secure, but reasonably light in weight? And by that I mean lighter than the Magnum sold secure D lock that I'm currently toting around?

Fairly soon (early next year at any rate) when I'm on site I'll be able to use bike boxes that the hospital already has on one site, but when the second site is opened then for work parking it will be bike boxes all the time, meaning I'll just have to have a really good quality padlock.

What I'm wondering about though is those times when I'm off site and neeed soemthing portable - size and weight then becomes an issue.

I'm not city based, more suburban, and close to an area that is alledgedly safer for inner city bike parking than elsewhere in the country.

I've seen this type of lock, http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=19418 anyone got any experience?
