Today I went to the outdoor track, and saw my track bike for the first time in months. Just hanging from a hook in the storage unit...it looked lovely.

Is it wrong to have feelings towards a bike? (and please do not link to the story about the bloke in Glasgow who was convicted of doing "things" with a bike, this was purely an emotional moment)

Not at all IMHO. Everytime I open the shutters of dreams, and remove the soft sheets off of her sublime paintwork, and the sunlight swathes Rihanna's gorgeous CAAD curves, I go all goose pimply and positively quiver at the knee in anticipation of what she'll do to me that day

It's not wrong if the feelings are towards a bike that has carried you on adventures to foreign places and has been the only familiar company you have had on tours of several weeks duration.
If the feelings are towards a machine that has transported you round and round on an afternoon at a track, well that's just weird.

I was looking at my good bike hanging up in the garage today and I found myself saying 'not long now my Italian beauty' as I admired her sleek carbon fibre body......

Every time I take out my C40, which is kept in Manila, I get a feeling of pleasure. That's why we are all cyclists and spend time and effort in keeping them maintained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When does the track in Glasgow open? I know a good track cyclist who heads down to Manchester often as Meadowbank is fairly useless
