For some reason (perhaps the sun!)I thought it would be a good idea to take the wheels off my hybrid and give them, and the rest of it, a really good clean.
I also thought it would be possible to do it in the time it took the red peppers to roast for the soup.
It wasn't -and it wasn't.
I am giving up thinking.
Fortunately I have a second bike as the hybrid doesn't have working brakes at the moment.

It seemed a good idea for a mate of mine to get me to help him dismantle a Triumph sprung hub from as it needed more than one pair of hands without the correct service tools. One massive boing!!! later and springs and bits flying everywhere including one that embedded itself 1/4" into a wooden beam in his garge, we discovered the folly of his notion.

It was a good job that we were immortal teenagers at the time as we escaped unscathed.

The hub was never reassembled....
