Maz I shall be there next weekend on a match day and won't be the slightest bit concerned about parking. Only go once a year but never had a problem. If you are going on a non-match day you shoul be able to park within 10 minutes walk of the ground. There may even be a visitors car park.
Thank you.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try and park on one of those roads.
My son's been twisting my arm for ages to do the stadium tour. I've finally capitulated.

Well if you want tickets for a game involving LFC, home or away, let me know and I'll sort you out.

Old one but a good one .Hodgson has told his players to drive around Merseyside as fast as possible .

Looking for the Police, cos they need as many points as they can get at the moment .

So, no Liverpool fans brave enough to stick their heads above the parapet and comment on this thread then?

You'll have to wait for one of them to nick a computer

Liverpool won't have any fans now they're not successful.... like Manchester United won't next year when they're in the same position.... whereas Newcastle and Sunderland have a level of support that's totally unrelated to how badly they play.... week in, week out.

Unless it's changed in the last eighteen months the area round Anfield contains urban dereliction of a level I couldn't have beleived existed inthe UK. Reminiscent of the townscapes described in Nevil Shute's 'In the Wet' wher he describes a post nuclear war, post mass emigration Great Britain.

But if your'e doing the tour you'll probably be able to get on the stadium/shop car park.

IME the best place to park on matchdays is in the public car park under the Catholic Cathedral then walk/taxi to the stadium. God will look after your alloys!!

surely that's because the club has bought it all up in the hope of developing the stadium?

Actually I think it's the other way round. The new stadium would be in Stanley Park and redevelopment plans include the land occupied by fortress Anfield. If it's not moved the whole lot fails.

Hence the Council are strongly opposed to any plan which involves extending the current structure.

You should see it; quite surreal to view streets of houses that would be worth £100k+ each in Luton or Watford but which nobody wants.
