Selle Anatomica - hand-crafted by angels

I've been running a Selle Anatomica saddle on my CAADX commute bike this year and have covered about 3000 miles on it so far. I have to say that this has been an unbelievably comfortable saddle since day one and I absolutely love it!

So much so that I've now fitted one to my Merida Ride road bike. You have to order them direct from the manufacturer in America and they are fairly pricey at $149 rrp.

They also sell slight seconds at $119 which is what I ordered this time, hence the tiger stripes (which I quite like) as seen in the photos below.

Both of mine arrived within 2 weeks of ordering. This time I was clobbered by customs for VAT but got away with it for the first one.

I'll probably sell my Brooks Swift to help cover the cost. This is also an excellent saddle but just not quite as comfortable as the Selle Anatomica which I'm sure was hand-crafted by Angels to precisely support my arse. ^_^

The Anatomica looks comfy.
As an aside: My sister lived in Huntigdon during the 70's. Great Northern st, just off the ring road.

Fair enough. The one that works for me costs thirty quid out of Decathlon so I guess I have a bit more beer money left over than you after buying a seat.

Maybe the OP doesn't spend money on beer so chooses to use it for his hobby and interest, bikes. No different to someone buying a £2k bike and someone a £500 one. Looks a real nice arse perch. Fair play. Brooks is my next saddle unless I get back to US this year and might check one of them out

Interesting. That looks better made than an early one I saw. I have recently replaced two aging Brookses with a couple of Berthoulds, one with and one without the hole. Another possibility in traditional leather saddles is Rivet, stocked by Carradice.

Looks purdy, just out of interest have you treated it in any way with something like proofide? Not that we've had much rain round these parts so not much need to at the moment......
