A huge regret of mine was getting a posh watch
I've never regretted buying my Cartier Tank Watch. It keeps perfect time, it gives me pleasure every time I look at it, and sometimes it helps reassure clients that I dress this way because I like to, not because I can't afford not to.

I have had watches. I have bought, and been bought watches. I don't wear watches as they never seem to do survive beyond showing off my left wrist suntan..

Have you thought about Gumtree? No sellers fees and you would have to deal with the buyer face-to-face.
Wouldn't recommend EBay due to time wasters and underhand dealing with higher end items (scammers).

I have 12 watches, all hanging on the wall in my office. They are not expensive watches and I only wear one when I go to school. They are all different styles and colours and it is a great ice breaker with the kids.

I'd rather not sell something of value like a watch face to face on Gumtree. Chap on here recently got robbed and stabbed for his iphone during a gumtree 'sale'

there's a nice story about one of the top professional poker players. Things were going well and he bought a Rolex. A while later his friends noted an upgrade to an Audemars Puget (sp?). Then a while later he was seen wearing a Patek Phillipe. Next time he was in town he wasn't wearing a watch, but seemed to be playing as well, and as sucessfully as ever. He had realised that true luxury was never needing to care what the time was
