Service Intervals - Initial Start Date?

Now here is the next interesting point, when I looked on the MyBMW app this afternoon, according to that my car has done 11,275 miles and of course based on BMW service recommendations, its saying that its needs a service.

So which is right, the dashboard saying 7006 miles or the MyBMW saying 11,275 miles.

7006 miles converts to 11,275 km's, so is the service interval 7,000 miles, which seems ridiculously low as most vehicles, but not all now run extended service intervals, try seeing if you can change the MyBMW app to imperial measurements

Also google oil change counter reset, it seems it's doable from the dash

Is the 7000 miles on the dash the dynamic countdown to the service ?
