Last night when i was out, there was an ominous creaky/grindy noise coming from the area around the crank/bottom bracket. Not had chance to fully investigate yet, but the noise was in time with my pedalling motion.
I should really give that area a service anyway as i've been through a bit of mud and wet recently so it's likely that theres some crud in those areas.
The bike is a GT Transeo 3.0 which has a Shimano ES25 Octalink Bottom Bracket and Shimano M311 Octalink 48/38/28 crank. What im wondering is what tools i need to service this. Im assuming id need one of these
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-cra...filiates&utm_campaign=www.londoncyclist.co.uk
one of these
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-bottom-bracket-removal-tool/
and its probably worth getting one of these
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bbb-btl-10l-hi-torque-pedal-wrench/
Also, which is the best grease etc that i would need to get this running smoothly?
Cheers
