Well just as I was getting up to around 25 miles 3 times a week I got myself an injury. A torn pectoral muscle while weight training has meant me having a layoff everything for 3 weeks now  as until now it's been to painfull to even ride the bike. I know it can't be helped and I have to rest it to mend it but it's annoying that this is going to put me back months.
At least I'm still off the fags so my lungs should perform better when I can get back to riding. Not being able to get out is driving me crazy though.

Bugger thats a bummer but remarkably I find its not very long before I get back to parity cycling even after a couple of weeks off the bike.

Why not buy a cheap turbo trainer to keep the fitness up? Machine Mart are selling Clarke trainers for remarkably little and even if the quality isn't brilliant they will get your HR up and tone the legs. If you use one with a heart rate monitor and set yourself targets you will get off after 45 minutes feeling absolutely beasted. You might need to fit a broader saddle as you will be wanting to be sitting up with little weight on your hands.
