Photobucket may be a free solution

Open an account with Photobucket

Download the app on to the iPod and then upload photos to Photobucket

Use the above instructions to download the photos to the new PC

Wow that's a fast insurance turnaround to be typing on a shiny new one!

Jokes aside, what a bummer. I hope that's all they took!

now that sounds like a good idea!! i do have a couple of thousand photos on there though, is that feasible to up load that many?

I said free not quick!

Seriously though... Photobucket does have a bulk uploader but the other issue may be total size and bandwidth

yes it is they took the 3 year old laptop, worth about , oh, 40 quid on the open market, leaving behind a brand new games console and games that cost £300 a week ago. dimwits!

Whatever you do, make sure you back up your iPod on iTunes first. Then you can always restore it if you need to. You need to be careful because even if you copy the photos onto the laptop, when you try to sync the iPod it will erase the iPod (a stupidity of Apple who think people might buy new iPod/phone/pads but will never buy a new computer!). So the trick is to backup, sync, restore, sync and all should be well on both devices.
