Of course it would, but I was saddened that someone on here was rather proud of extracting money from a supplier on specious grounds. We always here of people demanding money off holidays for ridiculous reasons, "this is Torquay madam, what do you expect, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon" and it just ends up costing the rest of us money. Or spurious suing of the Scouts or whatever resulting in fewer opportunities for kids to do stuff. But hey ho

Yet more spurious ignorant ranting, without any substance apart from a deranged imagination.

Yet again shall we show just how far from reality these rants are....

Care to link any of these "allegations" to an actual post that shows money off being demanded, or a ridiculous reason?

Basically most of your posting is simply a set of made up lies

This is one of the funniest things I've read so far on a very funny thread.

You are the Colonel Blimp of theatre criticism.

I can no other answer make but thanks,
And thanks, and ever thanks.

The bit where you wrote

Don't make the basic error that others have made up and started ranting about

The cost was that incurred by their dishonesty and lack of integrity over the advertising.

The decision was by the Trading Standards that their advertising had to be withdrawn and reprinted accurately.

So still no evidence?

As previously ... any reality to support the ranting?

It's a bit more complicated than that...
To be fair to @Cunobelin, the press seems to have shared his opinion of the production he "saw" - although quite how anyone can form any kind of an opinion after 5 minutes I don't know. I've never been so pissed off with something that I've walked out; if I don't "get" something I usually assume that it's my loss.

Truly, cuno is a Pooter of our times.

Thanks, so at least it is now officially awful!

But you didn't walk out because it was awfull, but because the costumes didn't match their poster.....

...ffs !

As you have failed to substantiate any of your other ranting, we can place this one in the same unsubstantiated claims binspired by your own imagination

Even your first post in this thread can be dismissed as entirely a figment of your imagination

Well, it might be that Mr Pooter walked out because he thought it was awful, but then the idea of wasting money on the tickets took hold and he cast around for a way of getting it back.

.... and where do you stand on misleading and dishonest advertising

Is it acceptable or not?

Not at all. It's exactly the sort of thing Charles Pooter would have done, and therein lies the comedy of it.

The irony is that the "Pooterism" was the management of the Globe, and the genuine complaint about dishonest and misleading advertising upheld.

Which is very funny,

Now where do you stand on the acceptability of dishonest and misleading advertising?

I'm not a huge fan of Shakespeare - especially not the "traditional" form, but I've seen a few more upbeat interpretations that I've enjoyed.
As a child I was taken to an open air theatre version of Taming of the Shrew, and we followed the cast through a local wood, it was fantastic. Youngest's school took her on a trip to a similar event, but it was rubbish - not enough cast members and reading of scripts throughout!
