[Black Country Ste]

I play in a ukulele covers band called Moselele, a rather clever contraction of Moseley and ukulele. The basic premise is that we shout versions of predominantly 80s pop songs vaguely resembling their originals while playing along. We're by no means a shining beacon of professionalism, or talent but people seem to like us and we are occasionally asked to play in front of victims people.

Today is one of those days and we have been invited by the organisers of the Bearwood Shuffle to open their event in Lightwoods Park in Bearwood, Smethwick. We'll be on the bandstand from 2pm if you're local and fancy it.

It's a suburb in the south of Birmingham where most of the group lives.

Not suprised that you get bookings. We have a Uke covers band around here and they seem to always be busy going by the ads in pub windows for them.

As far as I know most groups play for fun and are open to all abilities. Playing with a group is the best way to learn!
