Just watched a program on Discovery Science with William Shatner presenting: How Techies Changed the World. That man is a comedic legend. Not a great singer though!

The whole show is about people who have watched Trek and been inspired to figure out how to make the tech real. Just like the discussion I started on here a while back, it shows the people who have created iTunes, the palm held computers, touch screens, body scanners etc..

If you have the channel and see that this is on then I recommend it.

I rarely read anything thesedays. I do plan on getting a couple of books I've seen on psychosis and politics (The Culture Show did a peice on this earlier this week)

William Shatner is a man under-appreciated by a great many Americans due to his subtle sense of humour. Most Americans think he's really weird, but he's not; he has a type of "English eccentricity" about him (even though he's Canadian!).
