Shifters/ brakes for flatbar to drop conversion

I have a sirius hybrid and am thinking of converting it to drops, does anyone have brake levers or 8spd shifters not in use???

I had the same debate. It's doable, but Im not sure the geometry of the sirrus is too well suited for drop bars.. Just a thought.
