shimano 105 5700 cleats. are they compatible with any other shimano pedels

They are compatible with any shimano SPD-SL type pedal.

Yes, I use R540 pedals on my bike, they are SPD-SL so would be compatable with any SPD-SL cleats.

You need to be sure you buy SPD-SL pedals, not SPD as the cleats you have would not work on SPD only pedals.

Have bought SPD SL R540 pedels. 2 sets for our training bikes €23 each.

Where did you get the pedals from? They should come with cleats if new :thumbsup:

Some do some don't. I nearly shot myself in the foot with a cheap pair of 540's for my spin bike a few weeks ago, luckily I didn't need any new cleats, but it did mean they weren't exactly the bargain I'd thought :whistle:

Ahhh, my original 540s came with them, and when I bought the second pair THESE they also came with cleats

Yup you're spot on. My DA's came with cleats and on the whole they always do, but there are some seemingly good offers out there at the moment but the seller is not including cleats. The ad for mine did say no cleats TBH, but I bought them in a rush / half asleep / just not paying attention :blush:
